What we found in 733 AI answers
- In each area, the business AI named most came up in about half of all answers (median 48%).
- 60% of the sources AI cited were business websites, and 18% were Google Maps and business profiles.
- 7 of 12 businesses had a website and Google profile that disagreed on details like opening hours. AI repeated both.

Will the ChatGPT app give the same answers?
Close, but not word for word. AI answers change from one ask to the next, which is why we ask 64 times and count who comes up.
Is this the same as SEO?
It overlaps. AI assistants read Google profiles, review sites and business websites, so the report shows which of those it reads for businesses like yours, and what to fix there.
What if AI doesn't name me at all?
That is common. The report shows who it names instead, the reasons it gives, and the quickest way to start appearing.
